William M West
William (Will) M. West joined Grillo Barristers in January of 2014, after having gained invaluable experience as counsel for some of Canada’s largest insurance companies. As a result, Will has a keen understanding of the way insurance companies handle claims, which he now uses to the benefit of his injured clients.
Will practices civil litigation with an emphasis on motor vehicle accidents (both tort and accident benefits matters), long-term disability claims, slip and falls, and assaults.
While his goal is always to negotiate a fair settlement without the need for trial or arbitration, Will has a passion for oral advocacy and has successfully represented clients at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, Small Claims Court, the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.
Will graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor. Prior to law school, he attended the University of Western Ontario where he received a Bachelor of Health Sciences, which gives him a unique perspective when evaluating his clients’ injuries and impairments.
Will is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Bar Association. He has also written legal articles for various industry publications.
Will was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario. While most of his clients are located throughout the GTA and surrounding areas, he represents clients from anywhere in Ontario as well as North America. In his spare time, Will enjoys playing soccer and hockey, and following professional sports.
