We are often asked <strong>whether there is any recourse available to injured victims in these situations.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>The answer is YES!<\/strong><br \/>\nThe general rule is that accident benefits are available to all victims of <a href=\"https:\/\/grillo.ca\/%E8%A1%8C%E4%BA%BA%E8%BD%A6%E7%A5%B8%E4%BA%8B%E6%95%85\/\">motor vehicle accidents<\/a> in Ontario, regardless of whether they have a policy of their own. <strong>Where the victim does not have their own insurance policy, the claim may rest with the insurer of the automobile in which they were an occupant, or the insurer of any other automobile involved in the accident.
