News: Vehicle crashes after fleeing traffic stop near Burlington, claiming man’s life

BURLINGTON, ON — A rollover crash early Monday on Queen Elizabeth Way near Burlington claimed the life of a 26-year-old man and left multiple others hurt, reports Global News.

The fatal wreck took place at the exit to Brant Street at about 3:30 a.m.

According to preliminary details, the man was among four people in a pickup truck that fled when two Halton Regional Police officers tried to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle for speeding.

The vehicle crashed and overturned, leaving several people with various injuries. First responders rushed the patients to a local hospital, where the 26-year-old man died.

The Brant Street ramp was blocked Monday morning as crews worked to process the scene.
