OPP responds to crash on Don Valley Pkwy at Hwy 401 in North York

TORONTO, ON – Part of the northbound Don Valley Parkway was closed in Toronto’s North York district late Sunday, June 9, following a crash, according to OPP GTA Traffic.

The collision took place on ramp connecting the northbound parkway to eastbound Highway 401, in the city’s Parkwoods neighborhood. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on the scene by 11:45 p.m., when the incident was first reported.

While it’s unclear what caused the accident, the ramp and two northbound lanes were blocked as a result.

No injuries have been confirmed at this time, but the closure remained in place for at least 1.5 hours, suggesting a more involved emergency response.

By 1:18 p.m., crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were reopened to the public.
