News: 2-auto crash claims woman’s life in Brampton

BRAMPTON, ON – A woman passed away following a two-vehicle collision at the Highway 50 and Coleraine Drive intersection Monday.

This crash occurred around 6:30 a.m., according to Global News

Peel Regional Police, who responded to the scene, initially received a call claiming that the woman was trapped inside her vehicle and had to go to the hospital for serious injuries. However, they later confirmed that she succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.

Local police shut down Major Mackenzie Drive (MMD), extending from westbound MMD to Highway 427 and Coleraine Drive to Highway 50, in order to accommodate the scene clearance procedure and their investigation process. All lane closures have been lifted since.

Officers have not disclosed the woman’s name at this time nor revealed the events leading up to this crash.
