SCARBOROUGH, ON – A 14-year-old was left with a serious injury as a result of a pursuit-turned-collision that happened in West Hill on Sunday.
CBC said the 14-year-old was speeding while driving a vehicle and fleeing from police when he crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Kingston Road and Lawrence Avenue.
The collision happened around 1:00 a.m. EMS crews were also summoned to the scene and transported the teenager to a hospital for treatment.
The occupants from the other vehicle were not seriously injured.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) will be investigating this collision. As of this writing, three investigators, two forensic investigators, and a collision reconstructionist have been assigned the case.
The public is encouraged to reach out to the SIU if they have any more information about Sunday’s pursuit-turned-collision.
