News: Speeding was factor in fiery crash with injuries in North York

NORTH YORK, ON – Speeding was a contributing factor in what led to a fiery crash with injuries that occurred in North York on Sunday.

According to Toronto City News, the two-vehicle collision occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Don Mills Road. It was there that both drivers, ages 23 and 24, were traveling at a high rate and crashed into each other. Both drivers lost control of their vehicles and crashed into fixed objects. The force of the collision caused the vehicles to catch on fire.

Fire and EMS crews hurried to the scene. Firefighters stayed behind to put out the fire, and medics rushed the drivers to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Police have launched an investigation and have not announced any charges as of this writing.
