News: Man killed, another hospitalized after head-on collision in Markham  

MARKHAM, ON – A 61-year-old man was killed and a 50-year-old man was sent to the hospital following a head-on collision that happened on Monday.

The crash took place at the intersection of Reesor Road and 16th Avenue and was between a Volkswagen and a Honda, according to CBC. Police and EMS crews responded to the scene after 5:30 p.m.

York Regional Police declared the 61-year-old man dead at the scene.

Officials did not specify what physical condition the 50-year-old man was left in, but said he is recovering from unspecified injuries.

Authorities closed Reesor Road between Highway 7 and 16th Avenue for the investigation period.
