News: 3 firefighters hospitalized after Hwy 47 crash in Uxbridge 

UXBRIDGE, ON – Three firefighters were sent to a hospital after a crash on Highway 47 in Uxbridge on Monday, Toronto City News reports.

The two firefighters were struck by an oncoming SUV after responding to a separate crash that happened around 7:40 p.m. near Wagg Road. The other collision involved a pickup truck and trailer and a transport truck, and occurred as a result of snow and ice.

One fire captain, a 37-year-old adult, was left with serious injuries, and another fire captain, a 54-year-old adult, was left with minor injuries.

A firefighter, a 42-year-old adult, was left in critical condition. The 37-year-old adult and 42-year-old adult remain hospitalized, while the 54-year-old adult was released from the hospital.

The SUV driver remained at the scene.
