News: Boy, 7, killed in collision involving Hamilton bus

HAMILTON, ON – A 7-year-old boy lost his life to a collision involving a Hamilton city bus on after 1 p.m. Thursday, CBC reports.

The 7-year-old boy was walking in the area of Emerald Street North and Wilson Street when he was struck by the bus.

EMS crews hurried to the scene and rushed the young pedestrian to a hospital, where he later died.

Several locals noted that drivers typically experience limited visibility when driving through Emerald Street North. There also appears to be no crosswalk, making it difficult for pedestrians to cross safely.

Another local, who lived in the area for more than two decades, also has seen countless pedestrian accidents.

The driver remained at the scene, and no pending charges have been reported.
