News: 4 injured in pedestrian collision in downtown Toronto 

DOWNTOWN TORONTO, ON – Four people were injured in a pedestrian collision in downtown Toronto that happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The four people were struck by a vehicle in the area of Gerrard Street East and Church Street, which is outside of Toronto Metropolitan University, CTV News reports.

One pedestrian suffered serious injuries, and three others sustained minor injuries.

EMS personnel transported the seriously injured pedestrian to a hospital for treatment.

Toronto Police confirmed that the driver stayed at the scene and did not announce any pending charges for them.

Police and transportation crews shut down the northbound Church Street for the scene clean-up process and overall investigation.
