News: Teen, 13, fatally struck by train in Mississauga 

MISSISSAUGA, ON – A 13-year-old lost his life after he was struck by a GO train in Mississauga last Wednesday, March 18, CTV News said.

The pedestrian-train collision occurred around 2:45 p.m. in the Lakeview neighbourhood in the area of Alexandra Avenue and Fourth Street, and between the Long Branch and Port Credit stations.

Peel Regional Police said the 13-year-old boy and another child with him were riding motorized bikes when they ignored the warning signals and the downed gate, went over the train tracks, and were struck by the train.

The 13-year-old boy died from his injuries. Police did not confirm the physical condition of the child the teen was with.

A full investigation is underway.
