News: 1 killed, 6 hospitalized following head-on crash in Hamilton 

HAMILTON, ON – One person was killed, and six others were sent to the hospital following a head-on crash that happened on Highway 8 in Hamilton on Saturday.

The incident happened before 6:45 a.m. near Safari Road. CTV News reports. Two passenger vehicles collided head-on on the westbound lanes of the highway.

The impact of the collision led one passenger to succumb to their injuries. EMS transported five people by ground to a hospital, and medical helicopter personnel took one person to a hospital in Ornge.

First responders are working to determine the cause of the crash and have not announced any citations or pending charges.
