PICKERING, ON – A person was left in critical condition as a result of a vehicle-pedestrian crash that occurred in Pickering on Tuesday.
The person was walking in the area of Brock Road and Dellbrook Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle, CTV News reports.
The pedestrian sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a trauma centre. The pedestrian is continuing to recover, but is now in stable condition, according to officials.
Police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene, but have not specified whether they were cited or could face charges for their involvement in the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
