News: 4 teens injured in rollover crash in Whitby

WHITBY, ON – Four teenagers were injured in a rollover crash that happened Thursday morning, according to CTVNews.

The rollover crash occurred after 5:30 a.m. in the area of Myrtle Road and Baldwin Street. The events leading up to the collision remained unclear, although officials said the impact caused a vehicle to overturn and eject two teenagers from that vehicle.

The impact of the collision left a 16-year-old girl in critical condition, and an 18-year-old male and a 19-year-old male in serious condition. The fourth teenager, a 14-year-old boy, was left with unspecified injuries.

The girl was airlifted to a hospital, the 18-year-old male and 19-year-old male were transported to a trauma centre, and the 14-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital.

Officials shut down Myrtle Road in both directions between Baldwin Street and Ashburn Road for the on-scene clean-up process and investigation.

Police are actively working to determine the events that led to the collision.
