News: Woman seriously hurt in pedestrian-vehicle crash in Scarborough

SCARBOROUGH, ON – A woman was seriously injured in a pedestrian-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday night, CTV News reports.

The woman was walking when she was struck by a vehicle in the area of Birchmount Road and Comstock Road. This happened before 11:15 p.m. and warranted the response of ambulance crews who rushed her to the hospital.

The female pedestrian is recovering from serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police confirmed the driver, a 31-year-old adult, stayed at the scene, but did not say if they cited them for their involvement in the collision.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
