News: 3 hospitalized following 2-vehicle collision in Scarborough 

SCARBOROUGH, ON – Three people were transported to a trauma centre following a two-vehicle collision in Scarborough on Monday.

The incident occurred after noon in the area of  Lawrence Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue, CTV News reports.

A photo from the source suggests a silver sedan crashed into a pole and sustained significant front-end damage, while another sedan had serious side damage.

The impact of the collision injured a driver, a passenger, and a pedestrian, who was identified as a 16-year-old male teenager.

The teen pedestrian is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver and passenger are recovering from serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police closed the area and told commuters to seek alternative routes as clean-up efforts and the investigation remained in effect.

All lanes have since reopened.

A full investigation is underway.
