OSHAWA, ON – One person was hospitalized following a pedestrian-vehicle crash in Oshawa on Thursday, CTV News reports.

The incident happened before 8 p.m. The person was walking or standing on Ritson Road when they were struck by a vehicle.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital.

Authorities shut down Ritson Road between Eulalie and Olive Avenues for clean-up and investigation purposes.
