Boy hit, critically injured by car off Kingston Rd in Scarborough

TORONTO, ON – Authorities responded to a pedestrian collision late Wednesday in east Toronto that left a 14-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries, reports Global News.

The incident unfolded near Kington Road and Claremore Avenue, in the city’s Scarborough district. Emergency crews responded to the scene at about 9:45 p.m.

According to Toronto Police, a 66-year-old man was driving a 2006 Infinity G35 sedan westbound on Kingston Road toward the intersection when the car hit the teen, who was on foot and crossing northbound on Kingston.

The boy, who was critically hurt, was rushed to an area hospital.

It’s unclear at this time whether the driver was at fault, but they stayed at the scene after the crash.

An investigation remains open and ongoing. Anyone who may have information or footage of the event is urged to come forward.
