Man, 69, dies following two-vehicle crash on Rogers Rd in York

TORONTO, ON – Authorities were called to a collision Sunday afternoon in Toronto’s York district that ultimately claimed the life of a 69-year-old man, according to CP24.

The fatal accident happened on Rogers Road near the intersection with Bicknell Avenue, shortly after 12:30 p.m.

A release issued by Toronto Police Service indicates that the victim was driving a Smart Car eastbound and was making a left turn onto Bicknell Avenue when his vehicle was struck by a westbound Audi.

The victim, who was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition, later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Audi suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether they had to be taken to the hospital.

An investigation remains open and ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the incident, is urged to contact local police.
