News: 1 hospitalized following motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Etobicoke

TORONTO, ON – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon at a west Toronto intersection that sent the rider to a local hospital, according to Toronto Police Operations.

The accident happened at the intersection of Martin Grove Road and Eglinton Avenue West, in the city’s Etobicoke district, at around 5:40 a.m.

Preliminary details show that at least two vehicles, including a motorcycle, were involved. The motorcyclist was rushed to an area hospital but no other information regarding their condition has been disclosed.

Investigators had the intersection blocked off for over two hours. By 7:45 a.m., crews had removed the scene from the area, leaving all travel lanes open.


As of this writing, the cause of the wreck remains unclear, and no pending charges have been reported.
