News: 1 injured in semi-truck collision in Toronto’s Parkdale

TORONTO, ON – One person was injured in a semi-truck collision that happened in the Parkdale area on Monday.

CTV News said the collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Queen Street West and Dufferin Street. It was there that the truck driver crashed into a bus shelter, and the impact of the crash left one truck occupant with minor injuries.

EMS crews rushed the injured person to a hospital for treatment. Toronto police did not specify if the injured individual was the truck driver or passenger.

Toronto police confirmed that the bus shelter was unoccupied at the time of the crash, and no pedestrians were harmed as a result of the crash.

Officers reported traffic delays amid the scene clean-up process. Those delays have since died down, and the normal flow of traffic has resumed.
