News: 1 killed, 2 hospitalized after New Market multi-vehicle collision

NEW MARKET, ON – One person lost their life, and two others were sent to the hospital following a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday.

York Regional Police were summoned to the intersection of Davis Drive West and Dufferin Street and arrived after 10 a.m., according to CTV News

The crash involved a car, a semi-truck, and a trash truck. The details behind the wreck remain scarce. However, based on the source’s photo, it seemed that the impact of the crash caused the semi-truck to flip over and land on its side. In addition, the impact of the crash led one person to succumb to their injuries at the scene.

Two others survived and were taken to the emergency room for treatment of serious injuries, and the other from minor injuries.

Authorities haven’t confirmed which driver died or specified the contributing factors behind the crash. Our team of news writers will provide additional information after our team learns more.
