News: 1 killed, another hurt in 2-auto wreck near Peterborough 

NEAR PETERBOROUGH, ON – A 32-year-old adult died, and another person was rushed to a hospital after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7 Tuesday. 

This crash took place around 6:30 p.m. between Lily Lake Road and Parkhill Road, CTV News reports. After arriving, the City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough police declared the 32-year-old person dead at the scene. 

Ambulance crews transported the surviving occupant to a trauma centre, where they are recovering from injuries deemed non-life-threatening. 

Authorities shut down the area for several hours to accommodate the scene clearance process before reopening. 

Ontario Provincial Police started an investigation and are working to pinpoint the exact cause of this crash. The public is urged to contact law enforcement if they have additional information regarding the fatal wreck.
