News: 1 sent to hospital after Markham 3-vehicle crash with black ice 

MARKHAM, ON – Toronto paramedics rushed one person to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash that involved black ice Tuesday.

The Star said the collision happened before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Steeles Avenue East and  Reesor Road, which is along Rouge National Urban Park, Bob Hunter Memorial Park. Upon arrival, EMS crews took the wounded person to the hospital where they are recovering from minor wounds. In addition, two truck crews towed away the affected vehicles from the scene, and transportation crews came to pour salt onto the road.

Police are working to determine whether black ice was a direct contribution to Tuesday’s wreck.
