News: 15 hospitalized after plane rollover wreck at Toronto Int. Airport

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Fifteen people were taken to local hospitals following a Delta plane rollover crash that happened at Toronto Pearson International Airport Monday.

ABC News said Flight 4819 came all the way from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was approaching the airport’s runway when the plane crashed. The impact of the wreck left one child, a woman in her 40s, and a man in his 50s in critical condition. Twelve other occupants sustained non-life-threatening wounds.

The 61 other passengers and four crew members on the plane were unharmed. Delta and the Federal Aviation Administration said all occupants were safely evacuated.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is leading the investigation and has additional help from the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.
