News: 2 hospitalized, utility pole falls after car crash in Vaughan

VAUGHAN, ON – Two people had to be taken to a hospital, and a utility pole came tumbling down following a car crash that happened in the Teston area on Thursday.

CTV News said the driver of a grey coloured sedan crashed into the pole off the intersection of Jane Street and Teston Road.

The collision occurred after 2:15 p.m. and warranted a quick response from York Regional Police and emergency medical services.

Ambulances transported two occupants from the car to the emergency room for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Police confirmed no other vehicles were involved, but have yet to pinpoint what caused the car driver to crash into the pole.

Officials shut down Jane Street between Teston Road and McGown Road for the scene clean-up process and overall investigation period.
