TORONTO, ON – Police confirmed two men are in custody after a rollover collision that took place in the Distillery District on Monday, CP24 reports.
The car crashed and overturned around 3 a.m. in the area of Cherry Street and Front Street East. The two men who were involved in the crash fled the scene. The vehicle was found on the streetcar tracks, prompting TTC personnel to shut down the services temporarily and police to close Cherry Street
The services have since resumed, Cherry Street reopened, and the two men were found with the help of K9 units and taken into custody. One of the suspects was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Police have not confirmed the specifics of the pending charges.
