News: 3 hospitalized following pickup truck crash involving pole in Toronto 

TORONTO, ON – Three people were hospitalized following a pickup truck crash involving a pole in the Leslieville area Thursday. 

According to CP24, a driver of a pickup truck had crashed into a pole along the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Rushbrooke Avenue near Leslie Street. The crash happened around 6 p.m. and warranted a quick response from fire crews and Toronto police. 

Officers said the impact of the collision caused the pole to fall on the pickup truck, which left two people with non-life-threatening injuries and another with serious injuries. 

Police did not disclose the identities of those involved in the crash, but did say one man and one woman were involved. 

As of this writing, no formal charges have been filed against the driver. 

Authorities shut down Eastern Avenue between Rushbrooke and Leslie Street.
