NEAR ST. CATHERINES, ON – Three people were killed in a fiery vehicle crash that occurred in Niagara-on-the-Lake near St. Catharines Monday.
The events unfolded after 3 a.m. off the intersection of Queenston Road and Concession 6, according to CBC. Niagara Regional Police Service’s preliminary details reveal that the driver of the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree, which caused the vehicle to catch fire.
EMS, fire crews, and police officers did their best to render aid, including trying to rescue the three occupants from the vehicle. However, despite their best efforts, the three succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate the details behind the crash. New details will be added after our team learns more.
