News: 3 seriously hurt as transport truck hits SUV near Beaverton

BEAVERTON, ON – A two-vehicle crash Saturday morning, July 13, near Beaverton left three people with serious injuries, according to CityNews Everywhere.

The accident took place on the southbound lanes of Highway 12 just before Highway 48, at about 6:30 a.m.

A preliminary investigation found that the transport truck was traveling southbound on Highway 12 when it struck a northbound SUV.

Three people were rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. A fourth patient received treatment for minor injuries.

While the cause of the crash has not been specified, provincial police noted that the region was experiencing heavy fog at the time.
