News: 4 adults, toddler hospitalized after head-on crash in Scarborough 

SCARBOROUGH, ON – Four adults and a 3-year-old child were transported to a hospital after a head-on collision that happened in the Gold Hawk Thursday.

Toronto Police arrived at the intersection of McNicoll and Midland Avenues before 4:30 p.m., according to Toronto City News. Preliminary details indicate that a 35-year-old woman was driving north on Midland Avenue when she lost control of her Lexus car and then drifted into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Hyundai.

First responders said the Hyundai driver, a 71-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while his two male passengers were left in serious condition.

The 35-year-old woman and the toddler sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries. All occupants were transported to area hospitals.

Police shut down the area for several hours before reopening it. Officers launched an investigation and have not revealed other details at this time.
