News: Accident investigation closes multiple lanes on Hwy 401 in Oshawa

OSHAWA, ON – A vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Highway 401 in Oshawa prompted a response from the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), according to CityNews Everywhere.

The collision unfolded on a stretch of the eastbound highway near Stevenson Road and was first reported by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) at 4:30 p.m.

The right lane and offramp lanes were blocked and remained closed for at least two hours following the initial report as the SIU conducted an investigation.

As of this writing, local agencies have not confirmed any injuries or hospitalizations in connection to the incident.
