News: Child, 9, fatally struck by delivery van in Vaughan

TORONTO, ON – A child was fatally struck by a commercial van in the Thornhill area on Wednesday evening.

According to a report by CTV News, the incident took place just after 5:30 p.m. on Mullen Drive, which is just north of Steeles Avenue West.

First responders transported the victim, a 9-year-old child, to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Few details concerning the crash are available at this time. However, officials confirmed a commercial delivery van was involved.

It is unclear at this time whether the driver of the van will face any charges.
