News: Collision closes part of southbound ON-400 at ON-401 in North York

TORONTO, ON — Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a wreck Thursday morning that blocked a section of Highway 400 in the North York district of Toronto, according to OPP GTA Traffic.

The crash unfolded on the southbound lanes approaching Highway 401, in the Humbermede neighbourhood. Officers arrived on the scene some time before 5:34 a.m.

Details remain limited, but part of southbound Highway 400 from Exit 25 (Finch Avenue) to Highway 401 was shut down for the remainder of the morning.

At 12:13 p.m., more than six hours after the initial report, all travel lanes were reopened to the public.


It was not immediately apparent whether anyone was injured and/or required transport to a hospital.
