News: Collision reported on eastbound Hwy 401 in Etobicoke

TORONTO, ON — Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a crash Wednesday night on eastbound Highway 401 in the Etobicoke district of west Toronto, according to OPP GTA Traffic.

The accident was reported west of the Kipling Avenue collector ramps at around 8:27 p.m.

While the cause and nature of the collision has not been specified, OPP were on the scene where the right eastbound lane remained closed for over an hour.

The scene was announced cleared at 9:47 p.m. but no further information about the victims or vehicles has been provided.


It’s unclear whether anyone was hurt and/or had to be taken to a hospital.
