News: Crash blocks parts of eastbound QEW near Hwy 407/403 in Burlington

BURLINGTON, ON — Ontario Provincial Police were called out to a vehicle crash Wednesday morning on an eastbound stretch of Queen Elizabeth Way in Burlington, according to OPP GTA Traffic.

The accident, which blocked the entrance ramp from Fairview Street and a single eastbound lane toward Highway 407 and Highway 403, was reported at about 9:00 a.m.

Little information has been made available at this time, but crews did not re-open the lanes until 4:35 p.m. later that afternoon, indicating a more involved emergency response.


Officials have not said what kinds of vehicles were involved or whether anyone was seriously injured.
