News: Crash closes part of eastbound Hwy 401 at Allen Rd in north Toronto

TORONTO, ON – Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the scene of a collision Wednesday morning on Highway 401 in the North York district of Toronto, according to OPP GTA Traffic.

The accident, which blocked the eastbound express collector lanes at Allen Road (Exit 365) near Yorkdale Shopping Centre, was first reported at 5:04 a.m., when police had already arrived in the area.

Officials did not immediately announce an estimated clearance time.

Following the incident, no information regarding the cause or nature of the crash has been disclosed, and no injuries or hospitalizations have been confirmed.
