TORONTO, ON – A female cyclist was left in serious condition after she was struck by a trash truck in the Cabbagetown area last Friday, May 9.

The driver ran over the cyclist while making a turn from Gerrard Street East onto and Parliament Street, according to the Toronto Star. The truck driver tried to free the cyclist, who was pinned underneath the vehicle prior to first responders arriving.
