SCARBOROUGH, ON – A driver of a black Audi SUV struck a 64-year-old man walking on Sheppard Avenue East on Saturday, which led to his death.
This collision happened after 5:30 p.m. along Palmdale Drive, Toronto City News reports. The male pedestrian was going from northbound Sheppard to southbound Sheppard and had stopped in a centre turning lane waiting for eastbound traffic to clear. When he stopped, the Audi driver, a 52-year-old woman, appeared and collided with the man.
Toronto Police declared the man dead at the scene and said the driver stayed at the crash site.
No additional details, which include the man’s name, have been made available.
