News: Drivers sent to hospital following crash in North York’s Jane and Finch area

TORONTO, ON – Two people were injured as a result of a crash between a police car and a “school purpose” vehicle Wednesday morning in Toronto’s North York neighborhood, according to Toronto Police Operations.

The collision took place at the intersection of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West, at about 7:52 a.m.

Details are limited, but officials indicated that two children were being transported in a vehicle that collided with a police car.

While both drivers had to be taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, neither of the children were reported hurt.

Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes around the scene, as all northbound traffic was shut down during the emergency response.

It’s unclear at this time which driver was at fault, but an investigation was underway.
