News: Elderly woman struck, killed by dump truck on Mt. Pleasant Rd.

TORONTO, ON – An elderly woman was killed Monday morning when she was hit by a dump truck while crossing the street in Midtown Toronto.

According to a report by CP24, the truck was making a left turn onto Mount Pleasant Road at about 10:30 a.m. when it stuck the woman as she crossed from the southwest corner of the street.

The unidentified victim died at the crash site. Investigators believe she had the green light to cross when the fatal crash occurred.

The truck driver cooperated with officers at the scene. We do not know at this time if any charges will be filed in connection to the incident.
