TORONTO, ON – An engine failure was responsible for a plane collision that happened at the Monarch Park Collegiate Institute on Monday.

The collision took place at 8:15 p.m. off Danforth and Coxwell Avenue, according to CTV News. Preliminary details show that the pilot and two passengers on board were on their way to Toronto City Airport when the Piper PA-28-140 plane experienced engine failure and crashed. The fuel engine leaked as a result of the collision and warranted a response from Toronto’s hazmat fire crews.
