TORONTO, ON – Authorities are investigating a pedestrian crash Thursday night in Toronto’s North York district that claimed the life of a woman in her 60s, according to Global News.
Toronto Police and members of Toronto Paramedic Services responded to the scene at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Avenue Road shortly before 10:31 p.m.
The circumstances of the event remain unclear, but the woman, who was hit by a car, was rushed to an area hospital in life-threatening condition.
Officials later confirmed that the victim had succumbed to her injuries.
The emergency response and investigation had roads in the area shut down, with no clearance time immediately announced. Alternate routes were advised.
