VAUGHAN, ON – EMS crews transported a female pedestrian to a hospital after a collision near Weston Downs Park reported at 5 p.m. Monday.
Toronto City News said the pickup truck driver struck the woman while she was crossing the intersection of Langstaff Road and Weston Road. Police said the motorist was said to have fled the scene before coming back to the crash location.
The woman is recovering from serious, life-threatening injuries.
Crews shut down the intersection for the accident scene clearance process and have reopened the area since.
Authorities did not say if the driver would face any critical charges after the pedestrian crash.
