News: Hit-and-run driver sought after crash downs pole in Etobicoke

ETOBICOKE, ON — One person fled the scene of a crash Sunday night, January 28, that collapsed a pole in Etobicoke’s Long Branch neighborhood, according to CTV News Toronto.

Toronto Police said the accident happened on Lakeshore Boulevard West near 37th Street, in an area just east of Brown’s Line. It was first reported at around 9:40 p.m.

Very few details have been confirmed at this time, but a preliminary investigation indicates a driver crashed their car into a pole, which caused the pole to fall over.

The driver then fled the scene on foot, suggesting significant damage to the striking vehicle.

Paramedics did not immediately report any serious injuries or transports to the hospital.
