TORONTO, CA – A driver was seriously injured in a suspected impaired driving rollover crash near Malta Park in The Junction early this morning.
According to a report by City News, the incident took place at about 3 a.m. at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Saint John’s Place.
According to law enforcement officials, the vehicle implicated in the collision collided with parked vehicles prior to overturning.
The driver was trapped as a result and had to be rescued by Toronto Fire personnel. Paramedics have verified that the individual was transported to the hospital with severe yet non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say impairment was a factor in the crash and the driver will be charged. Their identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
