News: Male pedestrian, 22, fatally struck by driver in Oshawa  

OSHAWA, ON – A 22-year-old man crossing Highway 401 West near Stevenson Road succumbed to fatal injuries after he was hit by a driver Saturday.

This collision happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, CBC revealed. Ontario Provincial Police said an ambulance rushed the walker to a hospital, where he later passed away.

Police and crews did shut down a majority of Highway 401 West and the ramp connecting to Stevenson Road North for the standard collision clearance and investigation period.

The police department has not provided additional information, which includes the young man’s name and whether the driver will face criminal charges.
