SCARBOROUGH, ON – A 70-year-old man lost his life after he was fatal pedestrian crash in South Cedarbrae Saturday.
Toronto police were dispatched to the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Torrance Road before 10 p.m. EMS crews were also called to the serious pedestrian crash. After arriving, an ambulance transported the pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment.
The male pedestrian succumbed to fatal injuries after arriving at the medical facility.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. It’s unclear if they will face citations or charges.
Police also stayed behind at the scene of the pedestrian collision and closed Ellington Avenue along McCowan for the clean-up process.
Police are investigating all of the details that led to the deadly crash.
