News: Male pedestrian hit, injured by vehicle on Steeles Ave W in North York

TORONTO, ON – Authorities responded to an injury pedestrian crash Sunday evening in Toronto’s North York district, according to CityNews Everywhere.

The incident was reported near Steeles Avenue West and Bathurst Street, in the district’s Westminster – Branson neighborhood, some time before 8:30 p.m.

Toronto Police Operations said a male pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital after being. hit by a vehicle, but no other information regarding the circumstances of the crash was made available.

The victim’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

It’s unclear whether the driver, who stopped and stayed at the scene, is expected to be charged.

Officials had a span of westbound Steeles Avenue West blocked at Bathurst Street for the response and initial investigation.
